By overwhelming demand from all of you we are set to return to Holland for 2013! As many of you now know Holland is a very friendly place to cycle. It is not just that the Dutch have made it so easy to get around on two wheels but also that they actually like the English! They probably like us even more now Brad has won the Tour! For the 2013 ride we plan to use much the same route and towns as we did in 2012. We have booked all riders into one hotel in each overnight stop save for Haarlem where we all stay in two sister hotels in the centre of town. We learnt a great deal in planning the 2012 ride and we were delighted that the logistics of taking people to and from Holland worked so well. Many will remember fondly the lovely ferry we used and the ease at which bikes were loaded on and off at Harwich. In keeping with recent tradition riders will have the choice of longer and shorter routes on some of the days. We plan to change the routes a little and hopefully improve what was a lovely 2012 trip. We leave Hayling Island by coach during the afternoon of Sunday 7th of July. The bikes will be loaded onto vans and taken to Harwich, where we pick up our bikes and cycle onto the Stena Line ferry. The ride starts at Hook (Hoek van Holland) and follows the coast to Haarlem. The next days are to Amsterdam, Amersfoort, Dordrecht and back to Hook via the beautiful town of Delft. We travel overnight on the 12th July to arrive back in Hayling by around 1.00pm on 13th to our Welcome Back reception at Hayling College. See more details of this years ride. |

We still have a small number of places available. We are building on the successful Holland ride of 2012 with a tweak here and there, a little bit of route change and lots of prayers for less rain! We have a lot of new riders joining up this year as well as some old faces. |
