1993 Paris to Hayling Charity Cycle Ride

Funds Raised: £10,000 Number of Riders: 130

The Ride entered Caen via Pegasus Bridge and the famous Cafe Gondree. This would become a standard feature of many future events.

Nobody was more amusing in 1993 than Mike Saunders. Mike ran local hairdressers Yellow Strawberry and was clearly intent on having a good time. In addition to his standard bike he brought his unicycle along. He kept us amused on the ferry with this, even more so when he juggled as well. His cries "More Beer" and "Zip It You Muppets" were remembered long after his single appearance on the Ride.
