2010 Paris to Hayling Charity Cycle Ride
This year's ride will be 5 Day ride for all, over 400 miles
12th & to 18th July 2010
Funds Raised: £85,000 Number of Riders: 198
On Monday 12th July 2010, 200 cyclists, accompanied by a 20-strong support crew will take the overnight ferry from Portsmouth to St Malo. On Tuesday 13th July, they will cycle from St Malo to Rennes. On Wednesday 14th, the riders will cycle on a new 97-mile route from Rennes to Angers, on Bastille Day. On Thursday 15th, we cycle along the Loire Valley to Tours and then it’s the long day to Alencon on Friday 16th. On Saturday 17th, it’s Fancy Dress Day to Caen where, like last year, an end-of-ride party will be enjoyed in the castle.
On Sunday 18th, the group will cycle to the early ferry from Ouistreham to Portsmouth and cycle on to Hayling Island, via the Bridge, to a welcome at Hayling College, organised by Hayling United Football Club.
