Channel To Channel (C2C)

This is a two-day event, with overnight stops in Weston-Super-Mare and Salisbury. It's a good taster for what it will be like to cycle from Paris, as the routes have been deliberately chosen to be similar to the road types used in France.

We are returning to Weston-Super-Mare this year.

A coach will leave Hayling at 16:30 on Friday 16th May and take us to Weston. We should arrive here at around 19:30 where you will then be free to sample Weston's excellent bars and restaurants. On Saturday morning we will head out of the town en route for Salisbury via a new route through the Somerset Levels.

In Salisbury all rider will be staying in the Red Lion or the White Hart. Both quality hotels with a historic pedigree. Please book early to ensure that the you have the hotel that you want.

On the Sunday, we have a new, shorter route and end up at The Fountain, in Rowlands Castle.

Over the years we have rightly raved about 'La Belle France' but the Channel To Channel shows that we also have some spectacular scenery in our own country. We hope you will join us to sample this in May.

The price is £105.

Interested? .......... then please send for an entry form to Pete McQuade at mcquadep@aol.com or call him on 07748 556411.

Please do not address calls or e-mails regarding the Channel to Channel to Paul Fisher, who is very busy with the Hayling Charity Cycle Ride.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
All participants in this event do so at their own risk and accept that the organisers have no legal liability in any regard.

Participants who are also entered for the Paris To Hayling Ride are not required to raise sponsorship money.

All sponsored participants hereby agree to pay promptly all monies raised, and will use their best endeavours to raise a sum in excess of £110 subject to point 1 above. 100% of any sponsorship money raised will go to charity.

In the event of any participant cancelling, refunds will only be made on a discretionary basis, dependant on such costs as have been incurred by the organisers.

The event is not a race, and, although trophies are awarded, our basic philosophy is to help others whilst having fun. Riders are assisted by a number of support vehicles and are encouraged to travel at their own comfortable pace.

Organisers have the discretion to refuse entry.

The entry fee for this event is £105 (includes hotels and transportation). A deposit of £60 should be included with your application. This will be refunded immediately, should your application be unsuccessful. It would be appreciated if you could pay the balance of the £105 as soon as possible and certainly no later than April 25th 2008. Thereafter we reserve the right to cancel any application for which we have not received full payment.

All Riders are required to wear a helmet.

The organisers reserve the right to impose a surcharge of up to £10 should unforeseen costs arise.
